Description
This training course covers assisting with the provision of basic nursing care to animals. Nursing care includes the following: food and fluid intake; general observation and monitoring; replacing dressings and bandages; monitoring wounds; assisted feeding; monitored gastro-intestinal and urinary function; five freedoms’ assessments; first aid. The length of training may vary depending on the objectives covered, the ratio of trainee/instructor and the ability and previous experience of the trainees. The delivery of training covers a mix of both theory and practical elements.
